Superhero Names?!
Two Nottingham superhero enthusiasts have changed their names to what are thought to be the longest in the UK.
Daniel Knox-Hewson, 23, is now Emperor Thrash, while Kelvin Borbidge, 22, has become Baron Grind (short versions).
Their new names consist of 15 superhero names each. Mr Thrash and Mr Grind said they changed their birth name at the legal Deed Poll service for £10 each.
The best friends were among more than 100,000 people in Britain to change their name this year.
‘Superhero status’
Mr Knox-Hewson renamed himself Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman Heman Batman Thrash.
Mr Thrash said: “We decided to change our names because we were bored of our day-to-day lives and wanted to do something that reflected our true personalities.
“We couldn’t believe how easy it was to do, we just had to fill in a few forms and we were granted superhero status.”
Mr Borbidge now goes by the name of Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.
Mr Grind said he was looking forward to seeing his new name on his bank card.
“I wonder how they will fit it all on?” he said.

I think it’s also theft of copywrite protected material. owned by Marvel and DC. They could be leaving themselves open for massive law suits.
But they are immune to mortal laws. Remember, they are now super hero status!
I agree
not just Marvel and DC there are a few names from Final Fantasy 7 and Sonic the hedgehog
No. This is in UK, not in America, wich is filled with stupid people who sue eachother for nothing.
Whoa! That is so cool! Personally, I would arrange the names in a snazzier way maybe Superman Xavier Robin Lantern Bane Spiderman…I wonder what they would do in the case of marriage? How would they address envelopes? To: Mr & Mrs. Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader…
Awesome post! Never would have known about this otherwise. Hey, if you have the time, check out my blog. I’m a newbie. I need all the help I can get.
Lol, I don’t think we have to worry about these guys ever getting married.
Great post…
anyone else noticed how their names are exact opposites
yup. The hero and the villian
Yes. Hero-Villian combination
That’s the point
yeah i noticed
Coolest Ish ever. Tired of this ordinary ish we face everyday
This is just the height of folly…
What a bunch of jokers
Geeks
Names can’t be copyrighted….they can only be trademarked
Sad twats
They may have acquired “SuperHero-SuperVillian” Status, but they both failed to elude “UltraVirgin” Champion of our Solar System. To be 23 years old and 22 years old and pull this off, you can’t blame it on intellect of a child. These two clowns are grown men!
Whomever agrees to marriage with either man, has to have other worldly Low-Self Esteem!
