People are always getting rid of things they don’t need or don’t want anymore and that’s why thrift stores can be an absolute goldmine when it comes to finding really strange items.
And there seems to be a never-ending stream of weird things that folks come across when they venture into these second-hand stores.
Thankfully, an Instagram page called Thrift Store Art documents the oddball stuff that people find and we can’t get enough of it!
Let’s take a look at some of these truly bizarre items.
1. You want it. You need it.
Think of all the compliments you’ll get out in public!!
2. The peak of fine art.
It really doesn’t get better than that.
3. Kind of like the sexy sax guy from “The Lost Boys.”
Really feelin’ it.
4. You need the Lord for this one.
Especially since we’re all stuck at home for now.

As found by @madelinewaits Who just reviewed their general practitioner on Yelp! Under the title “Too little hot eye contact” During my latest visit to my general practitioner I vomited on his floor. Why? I ate 31 dumplings (3 types of xiaolongbao, and some spicy wontons), a bowl of beef noodle soup, and an order of spicy cucumbers myself. Yes, It's too much food for one person, but I regret nothing. But then after going over my vitals he really pissed me off. He dictated into a recorder for most of our meeting so he made very little “hot” eye contact. I will never see this doctor again unless he improves his hot eye contact and begins to speak in breathy gasps.
5. That is a gorgeous piece.
I wonder how much they’re asking for it…
6. Take as much as you want!
It might have a bit of a soapy taste.
7. There’s no way this thing is possessed by a demon.

As found by @doodlette who is downtown taking drugs and asking total strangers for money. “You see, if you invest in a long term corporate portfolio your returns will reflect not only upward market mobility but also long term capital gain, and as your investment banker I very much want to see you (sniff) achieve those goals, but first you will have to commit to a monthly minimum of, say, one quarter of your salary,” she asked Mr. Nesmith who had wandered into Wells Fargo looking for an ATM. “Do you have a name? Or should I just refer to you as ‘blue-shirt-guy-in-mustard-stained-Dockers? Your choice pal. I can wait here at my desk all day for your answer.”
8. I don’t even know sign language and I need this book.
This is a rare treasure, indeed.
9. Grandma was a fine woman.
And she is missed dearly.
10. Buy it for your child for school!
They won’t get made fun of AT ALL.
11. For your desk or over your fireplace.
Trust me, it will inspire you.
12. This is a real gem.
It would make a perfect birthday present, no doubt about that.
13. I have a few friends who would appreciate this.
Hey, Perfect Strangers was a great show!
You just never know what you’re gonna find out there, do you?
Okay, now it’s your turn.
