A Twitter user shared a shameful experience her father went through and her fellow Tweeters rallied around to support her. The woman’s father is Vietnamese and his English language skills aren’t great. A hiring manager wrote the man a rejection email that was completely insensitive and his daughter shared the post online.
She went on to explain that her father wasn’t hurt by the email, but was taken aback.
In fact, his daughter seemed to be more offended by it than he did.
People on Twitter responded and said that the hiring manager’s actions were illegal.
People offered help and could identify with the situation.
Because the story spread quickly, it eventually came to the attention of the company that employed the hiring manager who made the inappropriate comments.
And people started to offer her father jobs because the story went viral.
